To become a TrueFrame Joist, each board goes through a specialized three-step process. First, the #1-grade Southern Yellow Pine is pressure-treated to ground contact standards. It's treated with an MCA preservative enhancec with a proprietary additive designed to deliver greater stability, keeping boards straighter for longer.
After treatment, the boards are kiln-dried to remove any excess moisture from inside the board for a stable, lighter board. Once dried, each TrueFrame Joist is factory planed, creating a consistently sized board that saves you time on the job.
