Makita XGT Combo Kit Powers Pro Jobs

The kit features two brushless tools, 4.0Ah batteries, rapid charger, and durable tool bag.

Makita U.S.A., Inc. has launched the new 40V max XGT two-pc. Combo Kit (GT201SM) with powerful solutions for drilling, driving, and fastening. 

The new kit features a 40V max XGT Brushless 1/2" Hammer Driver-Drill (GPH01) and a 40V max XGT 4-Speed Impact Driver (GDT02), in a kit that includes two (2) 40V max XGT 4.0Ah batteries (BL4040), a 40V max XGT charger (DC40RC), and a tool bag.

The GT201SM two-piece kit features our hammer driver-drill and impact drive that are ideal for a variety of drilling, driving, and fastening applications,” said Robert Monroe, product manager, drilling, fastening and expansion, Makita U.S.A., Inc. “Combined with two powerful 40V XGT 4.0Ah batteries, this combo kit will add another great option for users to fit their 40V platform needs.”

Hammer Drilling and Driving: The 40V max XGT Brushless 1/2" Hammer Driver-Drill (GPH01) is powered by a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 1,250 in. lbs. of Max Torque, outpowering other driver-drills in heavy-load applications. It offers up to 35% faster drilling speed compared to Makita’s 18V LXT ½” Hammer Driver-Drill (XPH07), with two speed settings (0-650 and 0-2,600 rpm; and 0-9,750 and 0-39,000 bpm). An ultra-smooth variable speed trigger provides optimum control.

Driving and Fastening: The 40V max XGT 4-Speed Impact Driver (GDT02) delivers 1,860 in. lbs. of Max Torque through a Makita-built brushless motor. It offers four speed settings ((0-1,100/ 0-2,100/ 0-3,200/ 0-3,700 rpm & 0-1,400/ 0-2,600/ 0-3,600/ 0-4,100 ipm) and features a precision variable-speed trigger for optimal control.

Both tools are equipped with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) for enhanced dust and water resistance, ensuring durability in harsh job site conditions.

XGT: One System of Cordless Equipment and Tools: The Combo Kit is part of Makita’s expanding XGT system, offering 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT provides a single platform for everything from handheld tools to equipment-grade solutions like rotary hammers, power cutters and high-capacity saws–all powered by 40V max XGT batteries. The system is expected to offer more than 125 products in 2025.
