Dock Blocks of North America, LLC has been named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2026 Small Business Exporter of the Year for South Carolina. The award, presented during National Small Business Week, recognizes the North Charleston-based company’s growth as an international supplier of patented modular floating dock systems.
Through a network of marine retailers, dealers, and commercial partners, the company delivers its patented dock systems and drive-on boat lifts to customers across the U.S. and international markets. Notably, Dock Blocks has successfully transitioned to 100% U.S.-based production while continuing to expand its global export footprint.
The company currently exports to more than 10 countries, including the Bahamas, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Turks and Caicos, and the Virgin Islands, with additional international expansion underway. It holds GSA Schedule approval for federal procurement and serves residential, marina, commercial, and government customers.
“South Carolina has world-class talent, waterfronts, and access to a world-class port. We’ve always believed a Charleston-made product could compete on a global stage, and our customers in 10+ countries are proof. This recognition belongs to our entire team,” said Matt West, founder of Dock Blocks of North America and an MBA graduate of the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business in International Business.
The award was presented to Dock Blocks alongside other South Carolina honorees at the SBA South Carolina District Office’s celebration in Columbia on May 6, hosted in conjunction with the City of Columbia’s 13th Annual Small Business Week Conference.
“The awards showcase the achievements of these outstanding small businesses who are making a difference in our state by creating jobs, increasing economic prosperity, and helping their communities thrive,” said SBA South Carolina district director Melissa Lindler in the SBA’s award announcement.
