Ashley Bryan Campbell, 41, has pleaded guilty to two state jail felonies and two additional charges for withholding funds from customers of his construction business and denying both services and refunds, as reported by CBS19.
On Jan. 23, 2026, the former owner of Decked Out Construction and Extreme Backyard & Beyond in East Texas was sentenced for a combined total of 12 years in detention. Campbell turned himself in on June 23.
According to Titus County District Clerk, he had two state jail felonies, and pled to two years on each one. He pled guilty to two additional charges with a punishment of 12 years on each charge, with each sentence running concurrently. He has also been ordered to pay restitution, but the exact amount has not been released.
In one complaint, Campbell was asked to build a 36-ft. diameter silo. The proposed contract amount was $59,600. As of May 12, 2025, the victims had allegedly paid $60,550 to Campbell. He was requesting an additional $22,130 to “finish out contract.” No work was done and the nearly $35,000 for the silo was never used to purchase a silo.
Several other pending investigations into Campbell's activities are reportedly open in three other counties.
