PrimeSource Brands, a North American provider of specialty branded building products backed by Clearlake Capital Group, L.P., has acquired Starborn Industries, a leading provider of branded fastening solutions and installation systems for decking and exterior applications. The transaction represents PrimeSource Brands’ 11th acquisition since partnering with Clearlake in December 2020. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Based in Edison, N.J., Starborn offers a portfolio of branded fasteners and installation tools primarily focused on residential decking and exterior applications. Starborn has established itself as a differentiated provider through its offerings of innovative products, including PRO PLUG, CAP-TOR xd, HEADCOTE, SMART-BIT, and DECKFAST.
