The Black+Decker 20V MAX PowerConnect Cordless Brushless Reciprocating Saw Kit is built to take on tough cutting tasks. Make clean, controlled cuts through wood, metal, and more. The saw has multiple speeds, a variable speed trigger, and a soft-grip handle that helps support steady work. Move quickly between tasks with tool-free blade changes, a built-in LED light, and blades included for both indoor and outdoor jobs. The saw includes a PowerConnect battery that can be used with power tools, outdoor products, and chargers in the Black+Decker 20V MAX system.

DeWalt 20V MAX XR 5-Inch Random Orbit Sander
DeWalt’s 20V MAX XR 5-in Brushless Cordless Random Orbital Sander’s variable-speed dial provides ultimate speed control from 8,000 to 12,000 OPM for a variety of projects. One-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors. Its rubber overmold grip provides comfortable sanding. Replacing the 8-hole, hook-and-loop sanding paper is quick and easy. Battery and charger are sold separately.
Black+Decker 20V MAX PowerConnect Jig Saw
For curved cuts and cutouts, Black+Decker’s cordless jig saw offers both straight and orbital cutting modes.
The compact tool features an aluminum base, LED work light and dust port. The kit comes with wood and metal blades, a 2.5-Ah battery and charger.
In the DIY Essentials category, ProWood’s 4x4 Deck Railing Post Pocket was named a 2026 Tool of the Year.
ProWood 4x4 Deck Railing Post Pocket
Designed for installing wood railing posts, ProWood’s all-in-one steel bracket connects a 4x4 post directly to the deck framing while keeping the connection hardware concealed beneath the deck. Internal pressure tabs help stabilize the post, while weep holes allow water to escape.
The system is designed for code-compliant 36" and 42" railing applications under AC174 and AC273 standards. Bob Vila’s testing included applying 250 lbs. of lateral force to a 42" post installed with the bracket; the post remained in place.
