Decks & Docks Company Joins with Service Wholesale, Inc.

Decks & Docks Company, a leading pure-play specialty distributor of composite decking and outdoor living building products, has acquired Service Wholesale, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based distributor of major decking, roofing and siding brands that and sells directly to its primary customer base of contractors, deck builders and remodelers from its location in Downingtown, PA.

This transaction supports Decks & Docks’ continued growth as a specialty distribution business with the addition of its first Pennsylvania location and the introduction of roofing and siding materials to its expansive product offering. SWI will operate under the Decks & Docks Company banner, and its employees will continue to provide their customers with the same high-quality expertise and service they have delivered for more than 38 years.

SWI was founded in 1987 and purchased by the Schmidt family in 1995. Eric and Matt succeeded their father, Stephen Schmidt, as the leaders of SWI in 2009. Eric and Matthew Schmidt will lead SWI and are excited to reinvest under the Decks & Docks brand.
